Suburban Health Clinic offers opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and meaningful impact on community health.Role Description The Director of Nursing is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Paterson, NJ, responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the clinic. This role manages nursing staff scheduling, supervision, and performance, ensuring consistent delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The Director of Nursing develops and implements clinical protocols, upholds infection control standards, and supports compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and other clinical leaders, guiding long-term care and chronic disease management initiatives, monitoring quality metrics, and leading continuous improvement efforts. The role also involves mentoring nursing team members, supporting professional development, and fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and patient-centered care.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in Nursing Management, including staff supervision, workflow coordination, and quality improvement.Strong clinical background in Nursing and Medicine relevant to outpatient and long-term care settings.Proficiency in Infection Control practices and adherence to regulatory and safety standards.Experience with Long-term Care planning, chronic condition management, and continuity of care.Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey; BSN required, MSN or related advanced degree preferred.Progressive leadership experience in a clinical setting, ideally in ambulatory care, community health, or similar environment.Excellent communication, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.Strong organizational and analytical abilities, including use of electronic health records and data to guide decision-making.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and a patient-centered approach to care.
