Prospective applicants can expect a mission-driven workplace where collaboration and quality of care are priorities.Role Description The Director of Nursing is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Tucson, AZ, responsible for overseeing all nursing services within the organization’s long-term care and related programs. This role includes managing nursing staff, coordinating resident care plans, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements. The Director of Nursing collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, communicates with residents and families, and monitors quality metrics to support positive health outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include staffing oversight, performance management, policy development, clinical supervision, and participation in audits and inspections. The role also involves mentoring nursing team members, supporting professional development, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Nursing Management, including leadership of nursing teams and oversight of clinical operations.Strong Nursing and Medicine knowledge, with the ability to guide clinical decision-making and care planning.Expertise in Infection Control practices to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.Experience working in Long-term Care settings and familiarity with applicable regulations and best practices.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona, or eligibility to obtain one.Previous supervisory or director-level experience in a healthcare or senior care environment.Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and accountability.Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications.Commitment to person-centered care, cultural sensitivity, and ethical professional standards.
