Department & Team OverviewAs the primary referral center for major trauma in Northwest Alabama, our Emergency Department is one of the largest and busiest in the region:-Volume & Scope: Serves ~46,000 patients annually across a 24/7, 36-bed Emergency Department.-Specialized Care: Includes OASIS Emergency Services—an 8-bed specialized unit dedicated to senior patients featuring gerontologist access and specially trained staff.-Dedicated Team: Supported by a collaborative team of 70 RNs and clinical support professionals.

Key Responsibilities

-Strategic Leadership: Serve as the executive leader accountable for overall operational, clinical, and financial performance within Emergency Services.-Quality & Safety: Partner with quality leadership to advance high-reliability initiatives, maintain accreditation standards, and continuously improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.-Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, service line leaders, and system executives to streamline patient care workflows.-Talent & Culture: Lead recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies while promoting ongoing education, clinical competency, and professional development.Candidate QualificationsMust-Have Requirements-Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.-Licensure: Active Alabama RN license (or eligibility for licensure with clear standing).-Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.-Operational Skills: Proven expertise in budget/financial management, data analysis, and driving quality improvement initiatives in acute care settings.-Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (or obtained upon hire).Nice-to-Have Requirements-Direct nurse leadership experience specifically within Emergency Services / Acute ER environments.Compensation & Benefits-Salary Range: $70,000 - $130,000 USD (commensurate with experience) + Performance Bonus-Incentives & Relocation: Signing bonus and partial relocation package available.-Health Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage options for full-time employees.-Financial & Retirement: 401(k) with company match, life/disability insurance, paid family leave, and PTO.-Growth & Wellness: Tuition & student loan assistance, gym memberships, virtual care, and mental health programs.
