Director of Nursing

I am working on behalf of a growing Home Health organisation in Orlando, Florida, who are looking to appoint an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their clinical team.The Company:Growing Home Health organisation based in Orlando, FloridaEstablished local operation with significant opportunity to shape the future of the businessClinical team of approximately 25–35 staff members, with further growth anticipatedStrong emphasis on company culture, employee appreciation and mutual respectSupportive environment where clinicians are valued and encouraged to deliver high-quality patient careOpportunity to make a meaningful impact within a developing Home Health agencyThe Role:Provide clinical leadership and direction across the Home Health operationOversee and support the clinical team, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical complianceLead, develop and supervise clinicians, fostering a positive and supportive working environmentConduct field visits to supervise clinical staff and assess the quality of care being deliveredProvide hands-on clinical support when required, including responding to urgent patient care needsOversee OASIS assessments and ensure accurate, timely clinical documentationMonitor quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement across the clinical operationEnsure timely admissions and effective management of incoming referralsWork closely with the Branch Director to ensure appropriate clinical staffing and capacity to meet referral demandSupport the development of clinical processes as the agency continues to establish itself in the local marketMaintain strong clinical standards while helping build the agency's reputation within the communityOversee an aspect of the Private Duty division alongside the wider Home Health responsibilitiesWork Monday to Friday during normal business hours, with occasional calls outside standard working hours

Required Competencies

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licenceProven leadership experience within a Medicare-certified Home Health agencyPrevious experience as a Clinical Manager, Director of Nursing or in a comparable senior clinical leadership positionStrong OASIS knowledge and experienceSolid understanding of Medicare Home Health requirements and clinical processesExperience supervising, supporting and developing field-based cliniciansStrong knowledge of clinical documentation, quality assurance and admission processesAbility to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of patient careConfident communicator who can build relationships across clinical and operational teamsOutgoing, approachable personality with a positive leadership styleAbility to motivate staff, encourage accountability and contribute to a strong company cultureComfortable working in the field and providing clinical support when requiredA forward-thinking approach, with the ability to help develop a growing agency

Benefits
