Classic Home Health Services operates under multiple state licenses, demonstrating adherence to regulatory standards and professional best practices.Role Description The Director of Nursing (DON) / Clinical Manager – Home Health is a full-time, on-site role based in Leesburg, FL. This position oversees all clinical operations, including planning, implementing, and evaluating home health services to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Daily responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary care plans, monitoring clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and agency policies. The role involves conducting case conferences, managing patient intake and assessment, reviewing and approving care plans, and guiding staff in best practices for infection control and safety. The Director of Nursing also supports performance improvement initiatives, provides coaching and education to clinical staff, and serves as a key liaison between patients, families, physicians, and the agency.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in Nursing Management, including staff supervision, scheduling, performance evaluation, and oversight of clinical workflows.Strong clinical foundation in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and provide guidance on complex clinical issues.Knowledge of Infection Control practices, including implementation of policies, staff training, and monitoring compliance to ensure patient and staff safety.Experience with Long-term Care or home health settings, including care coordination, chronic disease management, and continuity of care.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida; BSN or higher degree in nursing or a related field preferred.Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation, with strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and diverse patient populations.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing patient and operational needs.Prior supervisory or director-level experience in home health or similar clinical environment strongly preferred.
