As one of the leading manufacturers in producing high performance, high-quality batteries for use in today's modern general aviation aircraft, Teledyne Battery Products is focused on hiring the best available talent!Summary:The Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for all manufacturing, supply chain, maintenance, facilities, EH&S, and operational excellence activities within the organization. The role is accountable for achieving business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, customer satisfaction, and workforce development. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position serves as a key member of the site leadership team and plays a critical role in developing long-term strategies that support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and organizational capability.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvementEffectively convert confirmed customer orders into cash, while consistently meeting or beating commitments to customers and the corporation in terms of schedule, performance, and COGSEstablish and drive site-wide performance objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, productivity, workforce engagement, and customer satisfaction.Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and regulatory requirementsIdentify, analyze, and sustainably improve operational execution/predictability in those areas that are deemed most critical to maximizing business growth & profitabilityDrive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and uptimeLead engineering initiatives to improve process efficiency and support capital projectsEnsure the factory floor is consistently clean, well-organized, and easily understood by those who work here and those who visitBuild and develop a high-performing leadership team through coaching, succession planning, talent reviews, accountability systems, and organizational development initiatives.Serve as a key member of the Battery Products leadership team and strategic partner to the General Manager.Requirements:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptableMBA or advanced technical degree preferredSeven (7) years related experience overseeing Operations in a Manufacturing environmentFive (5) years leading multiple functional departments through subordinate managersStrong knowledge of 6S and lean manufacturing and experience implementing these principlesExperience developing strategic plans and managing operating budgets.Experience leading capital projects and facility expansions.Experience with ERP systems, knowledge of Infor XA is a plusProficient experience in Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent oral, written and presentation skillsMust be a U.S. Person or U.S. Citizen (includes lawful permanent residents, refugees, green card holders and asylees)
