With locations in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, we serve trade customers throughout the Southeast with quality products, custom fabrication, and practical solutions.We are rebuilding and strengthening our operations for our next chapter—and we’re looking for a leader who wants to help shape it.THE OPPORTUNITYThis is a hands-on leadership role for someone who sees opportunities to strengthen a process and takes the initiative to improve it, recognizes potential in people and helps develop them, and follows through until the job is done.Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Operations will take ownership of daily operations across our three locations, including production, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and coordination with customer support.Our operating structure is being built around a designated leader at each location, reporting to the Director of Operations. You will help identify, develop, and hold these leaders accountable, giving each facility clear daily oversight while maintaining consistent standards across all three locations.You will join a small team where leaders need to be present, resourceful, and willing to work alongside others. Some processes need improvement; others need to be built. Hands-on involvement will be especially important while strengthening the team, with the goal of building dependable local leadership and systems that do not rely on one person to solve every problem.WHAT YOU OWNProduction and fulfillment: Establish realistic schedules, coordinate materials and labor, and ensure orders leave accurately, completely, and on time.Location leadership: Establish clear responsibilities for each site leader, maintain regular communication, and ensure consistent execution across all facilities.People and accountability: Train and develop employees, set clear expectations, SOPs and KPIs, address performance issues, and support site leaders in managing their teams.Inventory and organization: Improve inventory accuracy, material flow, storage, and facility cleanliness while reducing waste and unnecessary handling.Processes and systems: Create practical procedures, checklists, and routines that employees understand and consistently follow.Logistics: Coordinate transfers, deliveries, and shipping to support customer commitments and control costs.Performance: Track meaningful measures such as on-time fulfillment, productivity, order accuracy, rework, and inventory discrepancies—and act on what they reveal.Safety and quality: Reinforce safe work practices, equipment care, and consistent product standards.Communication: Keep sales, customer support, and leadership informed of capacity, priorities, and problems before they become missed commitments.WHO WILL SUCCEED HEREWe’re looking for someone who:Brings experience leading people in manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing, distribution, construction materials, or a related environment.Creates structure and maintains it, even when priorities change.Can develop other leaders, delegate effectively, and follow up without taking every task back.Coaches employees while addressing missed expectations directly and respectfully.Is comfortable on the production floor and willing to learn our products and fabrication methods.Uses systems and data to organize work, identify problems, and improve results.Understands how labor, waste, rework, and delays affect profitability.Takes initiative, communicates honestly, and brings solutions.Can work on-site in Hudson, Florida, and travel to our other facilities (GA and NC) as needed.Fence and railing experience is helpful, but not required. Relevant education is welcome; practical experience, judgment, and demonstrated leadership matter.You do not need to have held a Director of Operations title to be considered. A strong supervisor or manager ready for broader responsibility may be the right fit, provided you can demonstrate ownership, follow-through, and the ability to lead people.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEA clear production plan.
