Director of Operations

Must have experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment like Aerospace or Medical Device.The Director of Operations will be responsible for the leadership, guidance and direction of Operations & Supply Chain Teams. This position leads a team of 4 direct and 93 indirect reports.The position requires planning, directing and coordinating the execution of production at a strategic level in manufacturing. Will also be responsible for managing daily operational activities and driving accountability within the business. The Director of Operations will determine the needs and analyze areas of operations that require continuous improvement activities. They are responsible for building and executing the plans to increase capacity, control costs, and grow the business.How You Will Do It:Ensure that the organization is structured and has the talent, resources and organizational capability to meet customer quality and technical expectations and desired customer turn-around timesEstablish strategies, objectives, capital requirements, material and labor requirements and budgets to support customer requirementsCreate and implement the lean roadmap for the businesses to bring operations to the next level of world class lean adoptionMeet or exceed measured objectives in sales, profit, turn-around time, employee/facility effectiveness and employee safetyParticipate in the development and implementation of the TMS business strategy and demonstrate a readiness to support business objectivesGive feedback to leadership on talent needs and organizational capabilities needed to achieve higher levels of production improvementDemonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
