Director of Operations

Role Description The Director of Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations across KASC’s training, advisory, and aquaculture support services. This role will lead operational planning, coordinate program delivery, and ensure that processes, systems, and resources are aligned with organizational goals and quality standards. The Director of Operations will manage and support cross-functional teams, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include budgeting and resource allocation, risk and compliance oversight, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support scalable and sustainable growth. The role will also contribute to strategic initiatives, refine operational policies, and support partnerships that strengthen KASC’s impact in the aquaculture sector.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, project coordination, and implementation of efficient workflows.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, track key performance indicators, and support evidence-based decision-making.Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills, including coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to plan, allocate, and monitor financial resources in alignment with organizational priorities.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to ensure responsive, high-quality support for farmers, partners, and other stakeholders.Relevant skills and qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, experience in agribusiness or aquaculture (or a related field), and familiarity with remote work tools and digital collaboration platforms.A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Agribusiness, or a related discipline is preferred; advanced degrees or professional certifications in operations or project management are an advantage.Demonstrated experience in leading operations in a mission-driven or service-oriented organization, with a track record of managing multiple programs or projects concurrently, is highly beneficial.
