We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee large-scale construction and trades operations, enhance operational efficiency, and lead teams in delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.The OpportunityThis executive leadership role offers the opportunity to shape operational strategy, improve business processes, and drive sustainable growth across multiple project teams. You will work closely with senior leadership to establish performance goals, strengthen operational controls, and build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.How You Will Make an ImpactLead and oversee daily operations across multiple construction projects to ensure successful execution and profitability.Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project managers, supervisors, and field teams.Develop and implement operational key performance indicators (KPIs) that align field activities with business objectives.Partner with preconstruction, estimating, and project teams to identify and mitigate scheduling, staffing, and operational risks.Optimize workforce planning, resource allocation, material logistics, and equipment utilization to maximize productivity.Foster a safety-focused, team-oriented culture that drives engagement, accountability, and operational excellence.Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, change management, cost controls, and productivity metrics.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable systems that support long-term growth.Required Qualifications & ExperienceExtensive leadership experience within construction, mechanical trades, building systems, or related project-based industries.Proven success managing multiple projects, workforce planning initiatives, and operational performance in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of construction documents, project schedules, specifications, and risk management principles.Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, resource management, and operational strategy.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern project management or construction management software platforms.Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and team development skills.Preferred Qualifications & ExperienceAssociate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of leadership experience overseeing large-scale construction or field operations.Experience within construction, mechanical systems, infrastructure, industrial operations, or related sectors.Track record of improving operational processes, implementing performance management systems, and driving organizational growth.Strong background in safety management, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
