The firm has grown fast, both organically and through acquisitions. It needs a hands-on leader who can manage daily operations while building the systems and processes that will support the next stage of growth. The role reports directly to senior leadership and has a lot of visibility across the firm.What You'll Do
- Lead daily operations and make sure workflows, priorities and resources stay aligned across the firm
- Manage the operations team: hire, train, set goals and develop staff
- Review current processes, find gaps and design workflows that can grow with the firm
- Standardize operational procedures across the organization, including building tasks and automations in the CRM and portfolio management platforms
- Create and maintain written procedures and policy documentation
- Own the client billing process from start to finish, including fee schedules and householding, with an eye toward automation
- Oversee monthly performance reporting and the quarterly fee process with custodians
- Act as the in-house expert and main troubleshooter for the firm's operations and portfolio management technology, and track how well the team is adopting it
- Manage relationships with custodians and outside partners, including third-party managers and referral relationships
- Supervise trade operations and make sure account and pricing data stay accurate across systems
- Lead operational due diligence and onboarding for acquired practices so they transition smoothly onto the firm's platformWhat You BringRequired
- Background in the RIA or wealth management industry
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with portfolio management, trading and CRM technology at a financial services firm
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing or leading a team
- A track record of building operational processes from the ground up and scaling them
- Strong organization and the ability to juggle competing priorities
- A collaborative style and comfort working across departments
- Comfort leading change in a growing, evolving organization
- Working knowledge of RIA compliance requirements
- Experience integrating acquisitions or managing advisor transitionsPreferred
- Experience at a multi-billion-dollar hybrid RIA serving high-net-worth and institutional clients
- Experience with a major custodial platform
- Series 65Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $125,000 to $175,000, depending on experience
- Bonus program with firm performance bonuses paid twice a year (mid-year and year-end) plus an individual performance bonus, totaling at least about 12% of base salary each year
- 401(k) with profit sharing: a 2% employer contribution plus a 3% safe harbor match
