We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare and the opportunity to thrive.What You’ll DoThe Director of Operations is a licensed Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing the operational, clinical-support, administrative, and strategic functions across FCHP's healthcare service lines, including clinical operations, correctional healthcare programs, telehealth services, testing programs, outreach initiatives, and community-based healthcare services.This role combines healthcare operations leadership with nursing expertise to ensure that operational processes effectively support safe, efficient, compliant, and high-quality patient care. The Director oversees multi-site operations, staffing and resource coordination, clinical workflow implementation, regulatory readiness, quality improvement, staff performance, and operational expansion.Operational Leadership & Multi-Site OversightProvide strategic and operational leadership across FCHP healthcare programs and service locations.Oversee daily operations for clinics, correctional healthcare programs, telehealth services, outreach initiatives, testing programs, and community-based healthcare services.Develop, implement, and monitor operational workflows, procedures, and performance standards that support safe and consistent patient care.Monitor operational and clinical-support performance metrics and identify opportunities for workflow optimization, process improvement, and service expansion.Ensure appropriate staffing models, scheduling, site coverage, and resource allocation across service locations.Provide operational oversight of clinical support functions, including primary care workflows, pharmacy coordination, laboratory processes, patient follow-up, and outreach services.Identify and resolve operational barriers that may affect patient care, clinical productivity, continuity of care, or service delivery.Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational strategy, operational planning, and program development.Clinical Operations & Nursing LeadershipApply nursing knowledge and clinical experience to support safe, efficient, and compliant healthcare operations.Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and other clinical leadership to implement established clinical standards, protocols, and quality initiatives across service locations.Ensure clinical workflows, documentation processes, and operational procedures are consistently implemented and followed.Provide operational and nursing leadership to clinical support teams and serve as an escalation resource for workflow, staffing, patient-care coordination, and operational concerns.Support multidisciplinary collaboration among physicians, NPs/PAs, nurses, Medical Assistants, case management, outreach personnel, and operational teams.Oversee implementation of clinical workflows involving laboratory testing, medication coordination, referrals, patient follow-up, continuity of care, and related support services.Support new clinic, correctional facility, and healthcare program start-ups, including staffing, workflow development, training, equipment, supplies, and operational readiness.Ensure operational support for telehealth, pharmacy coordination, mobile healthcare, outreach, and community-based services.Escalate matters requiring physician-level clinical judgment or medical governance to the Chief Medical Officer or appropriate provider.Quality, Compliance & Regulatory OversightEnsure operational compliance with applicable federal, state, local, contractual, and organizational healthcare requirements.Oversee operational readiness for audits, inspections, contractual reviews, and regulatory surveys.Lead and support clinical and operational audits to evaluate workflow compliance, documentation, patient-care processes, and service-site performance.Identify trends, deficiencies, and areas of operational or clinical risk and develop corrective action plans in collaboration with clinical leadership.Monitor completion and effectiveness of corrective actions and performance-improvement initiatives.Ensure operational adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, patient-safety, and organizational requirements.Partner with clinical leadership to maintain and implement policies, procedures, protocols, and compliance documentation.Support 340B program operations, compliance, and inventory oversight, when applicable.Escalate significant patient-safety, compliance, or clinical concerns to the appropriate clinical or executive leader.Correctional & Community Healthcare OperationsOversee operational delivery of healthcare services across correctional partner facilities.Ensure consistent implementation of established clinical and operational workflows across contracted facilities.Coordinate staffing, scheduling, supplies, equipment, pharmacy processes, laboratory workflows, and other resources necessary to support correctional healthcare services.Monitor operational processes supporting medication continuity, laboratory completion, patient follow-up, referrals, and continuity of care.Collaborate with correctional facility leadership and medical departments to resolve operational barriers and maintain effective working relationships.Support operational compliance with facility-specific security, access, documentation, and custody requirements.Oversee operations for outreach programs, testing events, mobile healthcare services, and other community-based initiatives.Travel regularly to clinics and correctional facilities to evaluate operations, support staff, address concerns, and maintain operational readiness.Staff Leadership & DevelopmentProvide leadership and supervision to assigned operational and clinical support teams, including managers and other designated direct reports.Establish clear performance expectations and promote accountability across service locations.Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, competency development, and retention of operational and clinical staff.Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action in collaboration with Human Resources and appropriate clinical leadership.Identify training and development needs based on operational performance, audits, quality trends, and organizational priorities.Support the development of emerging leaders and succession planning within Operations.Foster a collaborative, professional, patient-centered, and solutions-focused work environment.Financial & Administrative ManagementOversee operational budgets, purchasing activities, vendor relationships, and inventory-management processes.Monitor operational expenses and promote cost-effective utilization of staffing, supplies, equipment, and other resources.Partner with Finance and billing teams to support revenue-cycle operations, documentation requirements, and operational reporting.Support grant-funded, public-health, and contract-based program reporting and operational requirements, as applicable.Evaluate operational data and recommend improvements to efficiency, productivity, service delivery, and financial performance.Evaluate operational and clinical resource needs associated with new programs and service expansion.Performance Improvement & Strategic GrowthEstablish and monitor operational KPIs, patient-service metrics, clinical-support measures, and organizational outcomes.Lead improvement initiatives focused on patient experience, workflow efficiency, compliance, quality, productivity, and continuity of care.Use operational data, audits, staff feedback, and patient-care trends to identify opportunities for improvement.Identify opportunities for operational scalability and service expansion while maintaining appropriate staffing and clinical infrastructure.Partner with executive and clinical leadership to evaluate the operational feasibility of new locations, correctional contracts, programs, and healthcare services.Support implementation of strategic initiatives and organizational priorities across all service lines.Participate in leadership meetings, strategic planning, and organizational development initiatives.Required QualificationsActive, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required.Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive healthcare experience, including healthcare operations, clinical operations, nursing leadership, or multi-site healthcare management.Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare environment.Demonstrated experience overseeing clinical workflows and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, nursing practice, clinical documentation, patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.Experience managing or supporting multi-site healthcare operations, clinical programs, or community-based healthcare services.Ability to interpret clinical requirements and translate them into effective operational workflows and processes.Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and operational reporting tools.Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between service locations and correctional facilities.
