Shape the Future of a Growing Construction Company.We’re looking for an experienced Director of Operations to provide senior-level leadership across a growing Arizona construction operation.Reporting directly to the President, this is a high-impact opportunity for a proven construction executive who understands how to take projects from preconstruction through closeout while balancing safety, quality, schedule, client relationships, staffing, and financial performance.This is more than a project oversight role — you'll have a direct voice in how the company operates, develops its people, expands into new disciplines, and grows throughout Arizona.🔥 What You’ll DoProvide operational leadership across multiple active construction projectsPartner directly with Project Managers and Superintendents to drive successful project executionMaintain accountability for project financials, cost control, schedule, safety, quality, and staffingReview monthly project cost and revenue projections and support company-wide forecastingOversee manpower, equipment, and resource planning across projectsBuild and maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, architects, and engineersSupport projects from preconstruction through completionResolve complex operational, contractual, and project issuesReview and negotiate change orders while identifying and mitigating project riskPartner with leadership on business development, proposals, and preconstructionDevelop and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and emerging leadersSupport recruiting, performance management, and succession planningHelp guide the company's expansion into new construction disciplines🎯 What We're Looking For15+ years of progressive construction experienceSignificant experience in Project Management and construction operations leadershipProven ability to oversee multiple projects and project teamsStrong understanding of project financials, monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and cost controlExperience with scheduling, change management, contract administration, and risk mitigationStrong leadership skills with a track record of developing PMs and SuperintendentsExcellent owner/client relationship and negotiation skillsExperience supporting business development and preconstructionStrong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredWorking knowledge of HCSS, Primavera, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office🏆 Heavy Civil Experience Is KeyThe ideal candidate will bring extensive Heavy Civil experience and ideally have worked on projects involving:CMARDesign-BuildAirportsTransportation infrastructureBridgesBox culvertsStructural concreteLarge-scale civil infrastructureWe're especially interested in leaders who can combine deep heavy civil expertise with the ability to help the company expand into new disciplines and markets.⭐ Why This Opportunity?This is a chance to step into a true senior leadership position with direct access to the President and meaningful influence over both project execution and the company's long-term growth.You'll help shape:Operations → Financial Performance → People → Client Relationships → Growth StrategyIf you're a seasoned heavy civil construction leader who is ready to influence an entire organization — not just individual projects — this could be an excellent next step.📩 Interested?
