growing, privately owned dental group seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day business operations and performance of our five dental practices across the New York market.Reporting directly to ownership, this individual will have broad responsibility for practice performance, revenue and collections, staffing, scheduling, hygiene and recall, patient reactivation, treatment follow-up, revenue cycle, marketing performance and operational execution.This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands how successful dental practices actually operate.We are particularly interested in accomplished Dental Regional Managers, Regional Operations Managers, District Managers and Directors of Operations who have successfully managed multiple dental practices and are ready for broader responsibility and autonomy.What You'll OwnPractice Performance & Financial ManagementOversee day-to-day business operations across five dental practicesOwn practice-level performance against production, collections, revenue and profitability targetsReview operating and financial KPIs by location and identify performance gaps earlyDevelop and execute corrective action plans for underperforming practicesMonitor payroll, staffing levels, lab expenses, supplies and other controllable costsUnderstand the P&L of each practice and translate financial performance into operational actionHygiene, Recall & Patient RetentionEnsure every practice maintains an effective hygiene recall/recare programMonitor overdue hygiene patients, reappointment rates and hygiene capacityDevelop and manage patient reactivation programsEnsure cancelled and no-show appointments receive timely follow-upEstablish accountability for patient calls, texts, emails and lettersMeasure outreach based on appointments generated and patients returned to the practiceScheduling, Treatment & GrowthMonitor dentist and hygienist schedules and identify unused capacityEnsure cancellations and schedule openings are actively filledMonitor unscheduled treatment and treatment-plan follow-upImprove new-patient conversion, appointment show rates and case acceptanceIdentify opportunities to expand provider hours and practice capacity where supported by demandPeople & LeadershipLead, coach and develop office managers and administrative teamsRecruit, interview and coordinate hiring across the organizationMonitor staffing levels, schedules, attendance, PTO, overtime and productivityEstablish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performanceAddress performance issues promptly and professionallyDevelop standardized onboarding, training and operating processesBuild a pipeline of future managers and leaders as the organization growsRevenue CycleMonitor collections, accounts receivable, insurance aging, claims and patient balancesWork with internal teams and outside RCM partners to resolve performance issuesEnsure front-office teams consistently follow insurance, financial and collection protocolsMarketing & New Patient GrowthMonitor marketing performance by practice and sourceTrack leads, calls, appointments, show rates, treatment conversion and ROIEnsure new-patient inquiries are converted into scheduled and completed appointmentsWork with marketing partners to continuously improve practice-level resultsOperational ExcellenceStandardize operating procedures across the groupConduct regular practice visits and operational auditsMaintain weekly practice-level and consolidated operating scorecardsIdentify problems early and ensure corrective actions are completedCreate a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvementWhat We're Looking ForSignificant dental practice-management experienceMulti-site dental operations experience strongly preferredDemonstrated success managing multiple dental practices simultaneouslyStrong understanding of dental KPIs and practice economicsExperience managing office managers and front-office teamsStrong knowledge of hygiene, recall/reactivation, scheduling, treatment-plan follow-up, insurance, collections and A/RExperience recruiting and managing dental staffStrong financial and analytical skills, including practice-level P&L managementAbility to translate reports and data into operational actionFamiliarity with Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend or comparable dental practice-management systemsAbility and willingness to travel and work on site regularly and every week among our New York practice locations: Cornwall, Yorktown Heights, Bronx, Stony Point, White PlainsThe Person We're Looking ForWe are looking for an operator—not simply an administrator.You should be the kind of leader who notices when hygiene production is declining, schedules have unnecessary openings, recall isn't being completed, collections are slowing, staffing costs are increasing or marketing leads aren't converting—and takes ownership of understanding why and fixing it.You should be equally comfortable analyzing a practice P&L, coaching an office manager, interviewing a candidate, reviewing a recall program and walking into a practice to understand why its performance has changed.Most importantly, you follow through and hold people accountable.Why This Opportunity Is DifferentThis is not one
