Apply & track with Apply EdgeMackenzie Stuart is currently partnered with a growing multi-site ophthalmology entity that are searching for their next Practice Leader.OverviewThe Practice Director is a full-time executive leadership position that reports to the Physician Board (partners) and is directly overseen by the two Managing Partners. The primary focus of the Practice Director is to enhance overall operations and identify ways to improve efficiency for sustainable growth. The Director is accountable for financial operations, budget development, business strategy execution, and people and culture initiatives. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for each division (Clinical Operations, Surgical Booking, Revenue Cycle, Finance, Clinical Trials, Human Resources) as well as any potential new roles outside these divisions, such as marketing and outreach, ensuring effective coordination among them.OversightMeet regularly with the partners. Align and set priorities between and across divisions and ensure good communication across divisions.Set performance goals for each division and the heads of each division. Hold divisions and their leaders accountable for their performance.Deliver performance reviews to the staff members, formally at least once a year.Ensure the workplace is fair, equitable, and helps employees achieve their individual goals for growth and development.Oversees marketing initiative and feedback reports to adjust business approach accordinglyEnsure that vendors engaged by are cost effective, have appropriate contracts in place, and are held accountable for their work.Establish and oversee a process to address grievances from staff, patients, families and General corporateEnsure consistent creation, maintenance and access to SOPs across the practice.Work with managing partners to ensure that physician and partnership level issues (such as buy-in of a new partner, buy-out of a retiring partner, disability and family leave) are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner.Hiring or termination of direct reports or vendors must be approved by the managing partners.
