Director of Operations - Saudi Arabia AOC (GACA)

Beond is the world's first premium leisure airline, flying an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet, and is standing up new Air Operator Certificates in Bahrain (BCAA) and Saudi Arabia (GACA). We are seeking a Director of Operations for our Saudi Arabia AOC (General Authority of Civil Aviation), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.The Director of Operations is appointed by, and reports to, the Accountable Executive, and is responsible for: Exercise operational control and accountability for the conduct of flight operations under the AOC Own the operations manual, ensure ops-specifications compliance and set operational standards Oversee flight dispatch, flight-time limitations and flight-crew standards Serve as the operational interface with GACA for approvals, audits and findings Embed the SMS within operationsRequirementsThis is a required management position under GACAR Part 121.45. The post is full-time and the successful candidate must be acceptable to GACA (the President) based on experience, competence and knowledge, with a full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual (GACAR 121.45(e), (g)).Mandatory Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (GACAR 121.49(a)(1)) At least 3 years' supervisory/managerial experience within the last 6 years exercising operational control over Part 121-similar operations (GACAR 121.49(a)(2)) At least 3 years' experience within the past 6 years as PIC of a Part 121 aircraft — for a first-time Director of Operations (GACAR 121.49(a)(3)) Full understanding of the GACAR, the operations specifications, applicable airworthiness requirements and the operations manual; must be acceptable to GACA (GACAR 121.45(e), (g))Desirable Airbus A320/A321 experience Existing GACA regulatory relationships and new-AOC experience Fluent English; Arabic advantageousBenefitsA competitive package with relocation support where applicable, and the opportunity to build a premium airline certificate from the ground up as part of a fast-growing multi-AOC group.If you do not receive a response from us within 4 weeks of submitting your application, please consider your application to be unsuccessful due to the high volume of applications we receive.
