Location: TexasJob Type: Full-TimeSign-On Bonus: $15,000Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidatesResponsibilitiesOversee daily pharmacy operations within the hospital.Prepare, verify, and dispense medications according to prescriptions and medication orders.Ensure all medications dispensed are accurate, safe, and appropriate.Manage pharmaceutical purchasing, inventory, storage, and stocking based on established par levels.Enter and maintain accurate medication information in the pharmacy computer system.Provide drug information and medication guidance to nursing staff and physicians.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.Oversee medication preparation and dispensing activities.Ensure the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and dispensing of medications.Manage medication services for the offsite Emergency Department and Imaging Center.Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and medication-safety standards.QualificationsBachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy required.Current and active Texas Board of Pharmacy license required.Must qualify to serve as a Class F Pharmacist-in-Charge.Certification in aseptic technique required within one year of employment.Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.Strong knowledge of medication dispensing, pharmaceutical inventory, and pharmacy operations.Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
