We are profitable, well-capitalized, and vertically integrating our pharmacy operations.We are building a ~100,000 sq. ft. greenfield 503A sterile compounding pharmacy in Houston, including approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of ISO-classified cleanroom space. The facility will compound patient-specific sterile injectables, oral preparations, and nasal sprays — within the boundaries of the current FDA 503A framework, USP <797> (2023 revision), and the FDA interim bulks lists.We are assembling the founding leadership team to take the pharmacy from commissioning and Texas Board of Pharmacy licensure through nationwide commercial launch.This is a builder's role — not a maintenance role.The RoleYou will serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for our Houston 503A sterile compounding pharmacy and as the professional lead for our multi-state dispensing footprint. Our commercial objective is to serve patients in all 50 states and DC. You do not need to arrive with that footprint already built — we will invest in getting you there. From facility commissioning through commercial operations, you will own regulatory oversight, operational leadership, and professional accountability for all pharmacy activities, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Validation, and Supply Chain.On professional authority and risk: as PIC, your license is the one on the line, and we treat that seriously. You will hold unilateral, non-overridable authority to hold, reject, or recall any batch or prescription on quality or compliance grounds — no commercial or executive override. Friday Plans carries professional liability coverage and will provide legal and regulatory support for any licensure action arising from good-faith performance of your duties. Your call on patient safety and compliance is final.What You'll OwnPharmacy LeadershipServe as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge for the Houston facility.Establish pharmacy governance, policies, SOPs, and operating procedures.Act as primary liaison with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and other regulatory agencies.Multi-State Licensing (Critical — and a Funded Growth Path, Not a Day-One Requirement)Own the strategy and execution to license Friday Plans' Houston pharmacy in all 50 states plus DC as a nonresident pharmacy.Serve as the designated PIC / "responsible pharmacist" in states that require an in-state-licensed pharmacist to hold that role, expanding your personal license portfolio over your first 12–18 months — Friday Plans covers all licensing fees, jurisprudence exam costs, and NABP e-Profile setup.Partner with the Head of Operations to hire and license additional staff pharmacists to cover any state where the PIC cannot personally hold the license, so no single person is a bottleneck to the rollout.Maintain, renew, and track individual pharmacist licenses, CE requirements, and jurisprudence exams across all held states.Pharmacy OperationsOversee prescription verification, compounding, dispensing, labeling, and final product release for patient-specific prescriptions.Ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing at scale.Develop scalable workflows for a high-volume DTC telehealth model.Monitor pharmacy performance, staffing, and daily operations.Sterile Compounding OversightProvide professional oversight of all sterile compounding activities within a 15,000 sq. ft. ISO-classified cleanroom.Ensure compliance with aseptic processing, gowning, cleanroom garb, and environmental controls.Review and approve compounding records, master formulation records, and batch documentation.Partner with Quality on environmental monitoring, media fills, and contamination prevention.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure continuous compliance with USP <795>, USP <797> (2023 revision), and USP <800>; Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act, including the FDA interim bulks lists (503A Category 1) and "essentially a copy" restrictions; Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations (22 TAC Chapter 291); nonresident pharmacy regulations in all licensed jurisdictions; and DEA, HIPAA, and DSCSA requirements.Lead pharmacy inspections and maintain continuous inspection readiness for both Texas and nonresident-state inspections.Facility Startup & LicensingLead Texas Class A-SC licensure and support pharmacy commissioning end-to-end.Assist with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and workflow validation.Support successful launch of commercial sterile compounding operations.Quality PartnershipPartner closely with the VP of Quality on investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.Ensure pharmacy operations align with the Quality Management System.Team BuildingRecruit, hire, train, and mentor pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and sterile compounding personnel.Build competency and training programs (initial and ongoing) meeting USP <797> requirements.Foster a high-performing, accountable, and safety-first pharmacy culture.Continuous ImprovementEstablish KPIs for dispensing accuracy, turnaround time, compliance, inventory, and operational efficiency.Drive process improvements that increase throughput without compromising quality.What You BringRequiredActive Texas pharmacist license, or clear eligibility to obtain Texas licensure via reciprocity/score transfer prior to start date.PharmD (or B.S. Pharmacy with an active U.S. license) from an ACPE-accredited institution.7+ years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years leading sterile compounding operations in a 503A or 503B setting.Strong working knowledge of USP <795>, USP <797> (2023 revision), USP <800>, Section 503A, the FDA interim bulks lists, and Texas Board of Pharmacy regulations.Demonstrated experience leading Board of Pharmacy inspections and regulatory audits.Willingness and ability to work on-site in Houston 5 days/week (required by most state PIC statutes).Willingness to actively expand your personal license portfolio into additional states post-hire (Friday Plans funds and supports this).Preferred (Compensation Increases with Portfolio and Experience)Active pharmacist licenses beyond Texas — the more states you already hold, the higher your starting comp tier.
