Director of PR - Leading PR Agency - Dubai

Our client, a leading PR and communications agency, is looking for an accomplished Director of PR to lead a highly strategic and sensitive government account in the UAE.This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who has operated at the highest levels of PR and corporate communications. The environment is fast-paced, demanding and highly sensitive, requiring exceptional judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and government authorities.The RoleAs Director of PR, you will take overall responsibility for the strategic direction, senior client relationship and delivery of a major government account. You will lead an experienced team while working closely with the agency's senior leadership.Key responsibilities will include:Lead the overall PR and communications strategy for a high-profile government client.Act as a trusted senior advisor to key stakeholders and senior government representatives.Manage highly sensitive communications with absolute discretion, accuracy and sound judgement.Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, media and relevant authorities.Provide strategic counsel and confidently challenge or take a stand when required.Lead, mentor and manage the account team in a demanding, fast-moving environment.Oversee corporate communications, reputation management, media relations and strategic messaging.Ensure exceptionally high standards of quality control and attention to detail across all communications.Anticipate potential reputational issues and provide proactive communications counsel.Work closely with regional and global agency leadership on strategy and delivery.What We're Looking ForArabic fluency is mandatory, alongside excellent English communication skills.Strong PR agency background is essential – ideally from a leading regional or global PR/communications agency.Significant experience working in the UAE PR and communications market.Proven experience managing government, semi-government or highly sensitive corporate accounts.Excellent understanding of the UAE and wider GCC media, corporate and stakeholder landscape.Strong corporate communications and reputation management expertise.A confident and credible personality, comfortable interacting with senior executives, government stakeholders and higher authorities.Able to remain composed under pressure and make sound decisions in sensitive situations.Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.Extremely detail-oriented – there is very little room for error in this account.Commercially aware, culturally astute and politically sensitive in approach.The PersonWe are looking for someone who is sharp, resilient and highly credible.
