Director of Processing

A privately held seafood company is seeking a Director of Processing to develop plant leaders and drive improvements in safety, quality, yield, and overall performance at a facility near its global headquarters. This is a highly visible opportunity for a leader with a strong meat or protein processing background to make a lasting impact.Some responsibilities include:Lead plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and productivityImprove yield, reduce waste, and strengthen cost performancePartner with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and production resultsEnsure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsDevelop plant leaders and foster a culture of accountability and collaborationManage operational budgets, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiativesSome qualifications include:10+ years of experience in meat or protein processing, including 5+ years in a leadership roleStrong background in plant operations, yield optimization, and cost controlProven ability to lead large teams and deliver measurable operational resultsKnowledge of HACCP and applicable food safety and regulatory requirements; SQF or BRC experience is a plusExperience leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesStrong analytical, leadership, and communication skillsExcellent compensation package, including comprehensive benefits.
