Clients consistently recognize Blue Mountain employees for going above and beyond to solve challenges and keep families comfortable.Role Description The Director of Procurement and Inventory Control is a full-time, on-site role based in Vacaville, CA. The Director of Purchasing & Inventory Control for the HVAC Department is responsible for overseeing all procurement and inventory management activities related to HVAC equipment, materials, and supplies. This role ensures cost-effective sourcing strategies, accurate inventory levels, optimized stocking processes, vendor management, contract negotiations, and strong internal controls to support field operations and company objectives. The position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, and expertise in both procurement and inventory systems.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong procurement and supply chain management skills, with experience in sourcing, vendor management, and materials planning.Candidates should possess expertise in contract negotiation and contract management to secure favorable terms and mitigate risk.Candidates should possess solid project management skills to coordinate procurement activities with construction schedules, budgets, and resource needs.Candidates should possess the ability to develop and optimize inventory control processes, including forecasting, stock level management, and cycle counting.Relevant qualifications include experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical contracting environments; prior leadership of procurement or supply chain teams; and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.Additional qualifications include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and the ability to collaborate across departments.A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, construction management, or a related field is preferred, along with demonstrated success in a senior procurement or supply chain role.
