Apply & track with Apply EdgeA confidential Abu Dhabi–based investment and development group of companies is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement governance across multiple business units. This role is essential to ensuring cost‑effective purchasing, strong supplier relationships, compliance with procurement policies, and alignment with operational and financial objectives. The Procurement Director will oversee procurement strategy, tendering, contract management, category management, and supplier performance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals and cost‑optimisation targets.Lead sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, tendering, and competitive bidding processes.Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, SLAs, and long‑term agreements with suppliers.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and manage compliance.Oversee procurement categories, spend analysis, and optimisation strategies.Ensure adherence to procurement policies, approval workflows, and audit requirements.Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive procurement efficiency across the group.Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and executive leadership to support business needs.Manage procurement risks, supplier compliance, and contractual obligations.Prepare procurement dashboards, spend reports, supplier scorecards, and management updates.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field; professional certifications preferred (CIPS, CPSM).Minimum 10–15 years of procurement experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.Strong experience in strategic sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and procurement governance.Proven experience managing procurement for large‑scale or multi‑entity organisations.Strong proficiency in procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.Experience in construction, real estate, oil & gas, investment, or diversified corporate groups is preferred.Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
