Role: Director of Sourcing & ProcurementLocation: Terre Haute (Relocation offered) Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 Nter Talent are supporting a leading manufacturing organisation with the appointment of a Director of Sourcing & Procurement. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in food manufacturing, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and SAP-driven procurement environments.The successful candidate will lead domestic and global sourcing operations, overseeing procurement strategy across ingredients, packaging, raw materials, MRO, and indirect spend categories. This role will play a key part in driving cost optimisation, supplier performance, operational continuity, and long-term sourcing strategy within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities• Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with business growth, profitability, and operational objectives• Lead strategic supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives across multiple spend categories• Manage and optimise global supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, continuity, and compliance standards are maintained• Partner closely with executive leadership, operations, R&D, quality, and finance teams to support production planning and new product initiatives• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, driving accountability, succession planning, and continuous improvement• Analyse commodity markets, supply risks, and market trends to proactively mitigate disruption and maintain supply continuity• Drive supplier performance management through KPIs, scorecards, and ongoing vendor development programmes• Oversee procurement systems, policies, and process improvements to support scalability and operational efficiency• Support sustainability, ESG, and responsible sourcing initiatives across the supplier network• Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, AAFCO, USDA, and relevant regulatory requirements• Manage procurement budgets, forecasting, and reporting metrics for senior leadershipRequirements• 10+ years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership experience within food manufacturing, CPG, pet food, or related manufacturing environments• Strong background in strategic sourcing, buying, supplier negotiations, and contract management• Proven experience managing complex global supplier networks across ingredients and packaging categories• Experience operating within commodity-driven manufacturing environments with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings• Strong ERP systems knowledge, particularly SAP, alongside procurement and spend analytics tools• Experience leading procurement transformation, supplier performance programmes, and cross-functional initiatives• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills with the ability to influence at executive level• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent certifications preferredThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior procurement leader looking to join a growing organisation and play a key role in shaping sourcing strategy, operational performance, and long-term business growth.For a confidential discussion, please contact Nter Talent.
