In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a standardized category management platform designed to optimize financial performance, drive operational excellence, and strengthen supplier partnerships.You will lead a dynamic, cross-functional team of sales representatives, chefs, and consultants to deliver exceptional value to our customers. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of integrated systems within the foodservice industry and a proven track record of driving process improvement and talent development.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive, standardized category management platform. Integrate procurement objectives with broader business goals to drive company-wide financial performance.Operational Excellence: Oversee process and policy development, performance management, compliance, and IT integration. Seamlessly integrate e-commerce capabilities into our long-range procurement strategy.Relationship Management: Act as a key liaison between internal decision-makers and external supplier partners. Build and nurture relationships that align business plans with partner strategies.Team Development: Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing team. Assess staff competencies to identify growth opportunities and ensure the team is equipped to support sales, menu development, and operational strategies.Communication: Clearly and compellingly communicate company policies and business drivers to ensure organizational alignment and accountability across all levels.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Procurement, or a related field.Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Procurement/Purchasing, with specific, in-depth knowledge of integrated systems within the foodservice industry.Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or management capacity.Certification: Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is highly preferred.Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relations, drive compliance, and implement strategic change.
