Director of ProcurementLocation: Florida (Hybrid Preferred)Reports To: Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting OfficerPosition SummaryA leading healthcare services organization is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Procurement to lead enterprise procurement, sourcing, contract governance, supplier management, and procurement operations.Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, this role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that drive operational efficiency, financial stewardship, supplier performance, and risk mitigation across the organization.The Director of Procurement will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Operations, and Clinical Leadership to ensure procurement activities support organizational objectives while adhering to corporate governance and regulatory requirements. This leader will oversee procurement workflows, including Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Procurement Operations, and ensure effective utilization of Oracle ERP and related procurement technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational and financial objectives.Establish procurement governance, policies, procedures, and controls that support compliance and operational excellence.Create category management strategies that maximize value, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement best practices.Strategic Sourcing & Category/Vendor ManagementLead enterprise sourcing initiatives across clinical, operational, technology, facilities, and professional services categories.Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level agreements that deliver measurable business value.Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.Implement vendor scorecards and supplier performance management programs.Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier-related risks.Procurement Operations & Contract GovernanceOversee procurement intake, vendor onboarding, and contract approval processes.Manage supplier catalog strategies to increase utilization of preferred suppliers and approved procurement channels.Ensure procurement workflows remain efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies.Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to facilitate contract review and approval processes.Drive continuous process improvement and procurement automation initiatives.Establish procurement metrics and reporting to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Financial Management & ControlsPartner with Finance and Accounting leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, spend controls, and cost optimization.Develop spend analytics and reporting capabilities to identify sourcing opportunities.Ensure proper procurement controls and approval authorities are maintained.Support internal and external audit requirements related to procurement activities.Oracle ERP & Technology ManagementLeverage Oracle ERP solutions to support purchasing, supplier management, reporting, and procurement operations.Partner with Technology and Finance teams to improve system utilization and data integrity.Drive adoption of procurement technologies and workflow automation initiatives.Develop reporting and analytics capabilities to support informed business decision-making.Team LeadershipBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing procurement organization.Establish performance objectives, coaching programs, and development plans.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management experience.5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement or sourcing teams.Demonstrated success negotiating complex supplier agreements and managing enterprise vendor relationships.Strong experience working within Oracle ERP environments.Experience with procurement governance, sourcing methodologies, and contract management processes.Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.PreferredHealthcare provider, managed care, or healthcare services industry experience.Experience utilizing Source-to-Contract intake management platforms and procurement workflow solutions.Experience leveraging private equity resources and partnerships to support business objectives.MBA, Master's degree, CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or similar professional certification.Experience leading procurement transformation and process optimization initiatives.Knowledge of healthcare regulations and contracting requirements.Knowledge, Skills & CompetenciesStrategic sourcing and category management expertise.Contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.Procurement governance and internal controls.Oracle ERP proficiency.Procurement technology and workflow automation experience.Executive-level communication and presentation skills.Strong financial and business acumen.Data analytics and spend management capabilities (e.g., Power BI).Ability to lead organizational change and drive continuous improvement.
