Location: Jacksonville, FloridaRelocation: Relocation assistance availableTravel: Approximately 30%The OpportunityRogueSearch has been retained by a $1.5 billion transportation, logistics and maritime organization to identify a Director of Procurement & Finance who will play a highly visible role across seven distinct operating businesses.This is not a traditional procurement position.The Director will work at the intersection of finance, procurement, strategic sourcing, capital investment and enterprise strategy, helping the organization identify opportunities across its businesses while supporting complex financial and operational decisions.The organization operates across maritime transportation, vessel operations and maintenance, terminals, trucking, warehousing, logistics and government contracting.

With significant assets, complex vendor relationships and procurement activity occurring across multiple business units, there is a meaningful opportunity to leverage the organization's combined scale.The successful candidate will bring strong financial and analytical capabilities along with experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain. Just as importantly, this individual must be able to influence senior leaders and operating businesses while respecting the expertise and autonomy that already exists within each organization.For the right individual, this position also provides significant exposure to executive leadership and the potential for broader financial leadership opportunities over time.

What You'll Do

Procurement Strategy & TransformationHelp execute and advance a multi-year enterprise procurement strategy across seven operating businesses.Identify opportunities to leverage purchasing scale while preserving the operational expertise within individual business units.Analyze enterprise spend and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, improved pricing and more strategic sourcing.Develop approaches for categorizing, evaluating and score carding vendors and spend.Identify duplicate or overlapping supplier relationships and contracts across operating companies.Partner with existing procurement teams and operating leaders rather than creating a fully centralized procurement organization.Evaluate significant procurement decisions involving vessels, dry docks, tractors, trailers, equipment, services and other major expenditures.Help establish best practices, processes and analytical tools that improve procurement effectiveness across the organization.Finance, Modeling & Strategic AnalysisDevelop sophisticated financial models and business cases supporting major operating and investment decisions.Evaluate buy vs. build, own vs. charter, and outsource vs. internally operate scenarios.Support strategic evaluations involving vessel construction, ownership, chartering, operations and maintenance.Conduct financial analysis related to capital investments, new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.Support M&A evaluation, due diligence and related financial analysis.Partner with finance and operating leaders to assess opportunities across multiple businesses.Translate complex financial analysis into clear recommendations for executive leadership.Approximately 40% of the position may be devoted to strategic projects and complex financial analysis, with the balance focused on procurement initiatives and supporting the operating businesses.Leadership & InfluenceSuccess in this position will depend as much on how change is accomplished as on the financial results achieved.The Director will interact with senior corporate leadership, business-unit presidents, finance leaders, procurement teams and operating executives across the organization.This individual must be comfortable entering established businesses, listening first, understanding their operations and then using data and financial team and will work closely with additional procurement professionals located throughout the operating businesses.Rather than assuming control of all purchasing activity, this individual will provide enterprise leadership, analysis, strategy and coordination while partnering with the teams already responsible for procurement within their businesses.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking an experienced finance and procurement leader with approximately 10+ years of progressive experience in complex operating environments.The strongest candidates will bring:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.10+ years of progressive finance, procurement, sourcing, strategy or related experience.Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.Experience with strategic sourcing, procurement transformation, supplier management or supply-chain initiatives.Demonstrated ability to develop complex business cases and investment analyses.Experience evaluating significant capital expenditures or asset-related decisions.Exposure to M&A, corporate development or transaction analysis is highly desirable.Experience working across multiple business units, divisions, locations or operating companies.Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.Strong executive communication and presentation skills.Willingness to remain hands-on with financial models, systems and detailed analysis.Ability to travel approximately 30%.Experience within transportation, logistics, maritime, industrial, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, government contracting or another asset-intensive industry would be particularly relevant.The Ideal ProfileThis opportunity could be particularly
