Provides leadership, governance, and direction to ensure procurement activities support organizational goals and compliance with policies.Principal Duties & Job DescriptionDefine and implement procurement policies, procedures, and frameworks that align with company objectives.Oversee category strategies and long-term planning to optimize cost, quality, and supply assurance.Guide and support internal stakeholders in procurement planning and demand management.Ensure compliance with procurement standards, ethical practices, and risk management frameworks.Lead and develop the procurement team to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.Procurement Strategy & Governance: Develop and communicate the company’s procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Establish clear policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks to drive consistency and compliance across all procurement activities.Stakeholder Engagement & Support: Partner with business units to understand requirements, provide procurement expertise, and support them in planning and executing purchasing needs within the defined framework.Process Optimization: Drive efficiency by implementing best practices, digital tools, and standardized processes that enhance procurement visibility, reduce risk, and improve decision-making.Compliance & Risk Oversight: Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards. Monitor risks across categories and establish mitigation plans at a governance level.Leadership & Capability Building: Lead the procurement function by mentoring team members, promoting continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.Work Experience:10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record in developing procurement strategies, governance frameworks, and process improvement initiatives.Experience in managing procurement functions within large or complex organizations.Languages: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
