Director of Procurement

Food Talent Solutions has partnered with a growing food manufacturer to identify a Director of Sourcing & Procurement to lead the company's domestic and global sourcing strategy based in Terre Haute, IN.This is a newly created senior leadership position reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibility for strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement operations, and development of the company's procurement organization.Key Role InformationLead sourcing strategy across ingredients, proteins, packaging, MRO, and other key spend categoriesDevelop and manage domestic and global supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, and supplier performanceDrive cost savings, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and total cost improvementPartner closely with Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, and executive leadership on business and product initiativesLead and develop the procurement organization, including a Purchasing Manager and four indirect team membersWhy Consider This Opportunity?Newly created leadership position with the opportunity to shape the procurement functionDirect exposure to the CFO and senior leadership teamBroad ownership across sourcing strategy, supplier development, cost optimization, and supply continuityOpportunity to build processes and capabilities within a growing manufacturing organizationWhat We're Looking ForDemonstrated years of progressive sourcing/procurement or supply chain experienceLeadership experience within food manufacturing, pet food, animal nutrition, CPG, or a similar commodity-driven manufacturing environmentStrong ingredient and packaging sourcing experienceDemonstrated success with supplier negotiations, contracts, cost reduction, and global sourcingBachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CPSM/CPIM preferredSAP and food/feed regulatory experience are pluses
