This leadership role is critical in driving cost efficiencies, executing category strategy, and fostering strong supplier relationships within Asia. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills in supplier planning, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve organizational objectives.Key Responsibilities:. Develop the sourcing team with expertise in each categories (tier 1 and tier 2), and implement a comprehensive strategic sourcing process to secure best-in-class suppliers and competitive costs.. Formulate Sourcing Category Strategy, and lead sourcing activities to ensure all materials, equipment, and services are procured on time, on specification, and within budget.. Foster strong relationships with incumbent suppliers and develop new suppliers to support NPD by identifying and evaluating their potential to enhance quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, while negotiating favorable terms and contracts.. Achieve annual product cost reduction targets. Focus on supplier planning to align with business objectives and ensure supply chain resilience.. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sourcing strategies and drive continuous improvement.. Oversee logistics and transportation operations within Asia to ensure the timely and cost-efficient delivery of materials.. Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure adherence to contract conditions.. Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions and maintain a competitive edge for profitable growth. . Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.Requirements:. Bachelor’s degree (Master degree preferred) in engineering, supply chain management, business administration/ related field.. Proven experience (10+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on cost reduction and supplier management planning.. Relevant industry (Small Household Appliance) experience will be a plus. . Strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams.. Comprehensive knowledge of logistics and transportation operations within Asia.. Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and build strong supplier partnerships..
