DIRECTOR OF PURCHASINGLuxury Resort • Montana, USA • USD $112,000 + Housing AllowanceABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for a Director of Purchasing for a luxury resort in Montana. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role oversees the full purchasing function across the property, ensuring all departments are adequately supplied within operational budgets while maintaining compliance with purchasing policies, vendor relationships, and cost control targets.WHAT YOU'LL DOManage all procurement activities including RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, and supplier awardsLead contract negotiations and maintain cost-effective, well-managed supplier relationshipsDevelop strategic pricing agreements and multi-location contracts where applicableOversee purchase order accuracy, delivery, and pricing across all departmentsDevelop and enforce purchasing, receiving, and inventory management policies and proceduresMaintain vendor, product, inventory, and pricing databases and cataloguesReport on inventory and costing performance to departmental and senior leadershipCollaborate with F&B, Hotel Operations, and Events teams on purchasing standards and SOPsSupport menu costing and cost optimisation exercisesAttend trade shows and industry events to identify innovative products and suppliersWHAT YOU BRINGMinimum 5 years of progressive purchasing experience within the F&B;, hotel, or broader hospitality sectorExperience in large-scale operations; multi-unit purchasing experience is a strong assetProven budget and expense management skills with a track record of meeting or reducing cost targetsStrong relationship development and exceptional vendor negotiation skillsExcellent administration, interpersonal, and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of purchasing, costing, and inventory management systems is a plusSelf-motivated, results-driven, and flexible to meet changing business demandsCollege or university degree preferred; industry certifications or professional training an assetMust be a U.S. citizen - work permit sponsorship is not available for this roleWHAT'S OFFEREDBase salary of USD $112,000 per yearHousing allowance of USD $12,000 per yearRelocation assistance of USD $3,000Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and PTODiscounted stays at partner properties worldwideLearning and development opportunities
