Director of Research & DevelopmentNutraceuticals | Food Supplements | Innovation LeadershipAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced R&D leader to take ownership of innovation, product development and scientific strategy within a growing consumer health and nutrition business.This is a highly visible leadership role, offering responsibility for shaping the future product portfolio, driving innovation pipelines and leading multidisciplinary technical teams across formulation, development and commercialisation activities.The successful candidate will play a key role in the leadership team, combining scientific expertise with business strategy to accelerate growth, strengthen customer partnerships and deliver commercially successful product launches.The OpportunityLead the end-to-end development of new nutraceutical and dietary supplement productsDrive innovation strategy and identify opportunities through emerging science, consumer trends and market intelligenceBuild and manage a pipeline of commercially relevant product concepts and technologiesProvide technical leadership across formulation development, scale-up and manufacturing supportPartner with commercial, operations, quality and supply chain teams to bring products to market efficientlyAct as the senior scientific authority for nutritional science, ingredient technologies and product performanceSupport regulatory compliance, product claims and technical documentation requirementsLead, mentor and develop a high-performing R&D organisationContribute to broader business strategy as a member of the senior leadership teamAbout YouWe are looking for an experienced R&D leader with a strong background in nutraceuticals, food supplements, functional ingredients or related consumer health products.You will bring:Degree qualification in Nutritional Science, Food Science, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications desirableSignificant experience leading product development and innovation programmes within regulated consumer health, nutrition or supplement environmentsA proven track record of successfully developing and commercialising new productsExperience leading and developing technical teamsStrong knowledge of formulation science, ingredient functionality and product performanceUnderstanding of regulatory requirements relating to dietary supplements and consumer health productsExcellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skillsThe ability to operate strategically while remaining close to product development and deliveryWhy Consider This Role?This position offers the opportunity to influence both innovation strategy and business performance within a growing and ambitious organisation.
