Director of Retail Development

We are currently supporting a client with the appointment of a Director of Retail Development for a significant portfolio of retail and mixed-use developments in Dubai.This opportunity requires an experienced development professional with a proven track record in major retail projects, capable of managing the full development lifecycle from initial feasibility through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead developments from feasibility, concept and business case through design, procurement, construction and handover.Oversee development appraisals, budgets, project programmes and commercial performance.Drive retail concepts, asset positioning, tenant mix and leasing requirements.Manage consultants, contractors and key project stakeholders.Ensure projects meet commercial, operational and delivery objectives.Oversee tenant fit-out, operational readiness and asset handover.Candidate Requirements:Minimum 12 years' experience in real estate development.Extensive retail development experience is essential, ideally across major shopping centres, retail destinations or retail-led mixed-use schemes.Strong commercial understanding of feasibility, development appraisals and project delivery.Proven ability to manage developments from inception through completion.UAE/GCC experience preferred.Candidates must demonstrate substantial retail development experience to be considered.For a confidential discussion, please get in touch directly or share your CV.
