Location: Kingdom of Bahrain - ManamaDescriptionThe Director of Revenue Management (Pre-Opening) is responsible for building the hotel’s revenue strategy and commercial infrastructure from the ground up prior to launch.

This includes establishing market positioning, designing room type categories and pricing structures, configuring technology distribution channels (PMS, RMS, CRS, OTA setups), setting up forecasting models, and partnering with Sales and Marketing to drive pre-booking momentum for a successful opening.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Opening Revenue Strategy & Market PositioningConduct detailed competitive market analyses, feasibility review assessments, and bench strength evaluations of the primary and secondary competitive setsDesign the hotel's rate architecture, corporate rate structures, seasonal yield strategies, package offerings, and room type supplements/upsell paths.Formulate the opening-year Revenue Strategy, including room revenue targets, average daily rate (ADR), occupancy, and RevPAR projections across all market segments.Establish total revenue management protocols extending to Food & Beverage, Spa, Events/MICE, and other ancillary revenue streams.Systems Configuration, Distribution & Tech IntegrationOversee the onboarding, setup, testing, and integration of core revenue technologies: Property Management System (PMS), Revenue Management System (RMS), Central Reservation System (CRS), Channel Manager, and Rate Shopper tools.Establish direct connection agreements and commercial terms with Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), and key wholesale distributors.Build rate codes, room inventories, and yield rules across all distribution channels to ensure parity and seamless reservation delivery.Budgeting, Business Planning & ForecastingLead the creation of the Pre-Opening and Year 1 Revenue Budgets, business plans, and market segment mix targets in coordination with the General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing.Establish baseline KPIs, dashboard reporting templates, and weekly Revenue Strategy Committee meeting frameworks.Commercial Alignment & Pre-Booking AccelerationPartner closely with the Sales team on group sales guidelines, displaced revenue evaluations, and group ceiling pricing models.Work with Digital Marketing to align direct-booking strategy, pay-per-click campaign timing, and brand website content readiness.Monitor competitor pre-opening opening date announcements, special launch offers, and market pricing actions to adapt the launch strategy dynamically.Analytics, Reporting & Post-Launch OptimizationAudit and analyze daily rate shop reports, STR data, and booking pace trends leading up to Opening Day.Deliver revenue reports and commercial updates to property owners, asset managers, and corporate leadership.Transition the hotel smoothly from pre-opening setup into day-to-day dynamic yield management upon official launch.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseWhat Makes You a Great Fit; Who We’re Looking ForEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics. Master’s degree or specialized certification in Revenue Management is strongly preferred.Minimum 3–5 years as a Director of Revenue Management within a 5-star international luxury hotel chain.Proven track record in at least one luxury hotel pre-opening project.Advanced mastery of hotel systems (e.g., Opera PMS, IDeaS RMS or Duetto, SynXis/CRS, TravelClick/RateGain).High proficiency in data analytics, Excel modeling, and STR market performance reports.Solid understanding of GDS contracting, OTA extranets, and direct web conversion tactics.Languages: Business fluency in English is mandatory.
