With every detail designed to inspire meaningful moments, METT Singapore is a destination where simplicity meets refined living.The Director of Sales is responsible for driving and including directing sales activities of the company to achieve the hotel's room sales goals and revenue. The role also requires building strong relationships with key accounts, establishing new business opportunities and execute a comprehensive Room sales plan covering Luxury Leisure, Group, Long Stay, Travel Trade and other partnerships to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.Day to Day ResponsibilitiesA. Sales ActivitiesProactively identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve hotel room revenue goals by building network and relationships with higher-profile clientele to generate sales leads, optimizing potential revenue for the company.Schedule meetings with potential clients and coordinate business deals that seek to promote the hotel rooms and its services.Prospect new businesses through phone solicitation, on-site sales calls, conducing site-visits, and drive business development across corporate, leisure, luxury and other relevant segments for Rooms revenue.Fulfils a minimum of 20 sales activities per week including sales call, entertainment and site inspection.Establish and deliver clear revenue and production targets by market segment, account and sales channel.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, travel agencies, DMCs, event organisers, meeting planners and industry partners.Lead tactical sales initiatives to increase hotel visibility and market shareMonitor market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour and translate insights into commercial opportunities and action plans. Develop account acquisition and retention actions plans for high-value clients.B. Revenue & Commercial PerformanceWork closely with Revenue Management to maximise occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and Hotel room revenue.Monitor business mix and ensure an optimal balance between transient, luxury, corporate, group, leisure and wholesale business.Develop and do plans and actions to maximise total revenue across specifically rooms revenue generating areas.Review sales production, pace, forecast and pipeline performance regularly.Identify revenue opportunities and implement corrective short-term actions where required.Participate in the hotel's annual budgeting and forecasting process.Ensure Sales activities are aligned with the hotel's financial objectives and profitability targets.C. Partnerships & Market DevelopmentIdentify partnerships that can generate incremental room revenue.Build relationship with different industries such as airlines, tourism organisations, luxury brands, lifestyle partners, corporations and relevant industry stakeholders.Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, sales missions and industry functions.Maintain strong awareness of Singapore's hospitality, tourism and competitive landscape.D. Sales Operations and Reporting:Sales activities on daily basis is an essential part of this responsibility.Develop monthly, quarterly and annual room sales plans and execute on daily basis. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Revenue Management to ensure effective pricing and business mix.Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, partnerships and brand initiatives for Rooms RevenueCollaborate with Front Office teams to ensure key accounts and VIP clients receive appropriate service.QualificationsBA degree in Business from a reputable university or any related fieldMinimum 8 years of experience of relevant hotel sales experience hospitality industry with significant experience in a senior Sales leadership role. (5 star Hotel or resort)Applicants with strong exposure to Luxury, OTA, leisure, or group segments will be an added advantageProven success in managing OTA portals, travel trade partners, and group travel business.In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practicesExcellent selling negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Good business awareness including external markets and competitor positions Ability to navigate and build relationships in a fast-paced, competitive market.Ability to think creatively to solve complex sales challenges.Requirements:The job of the Director of Sales may require long working hours, intense sales call agenda on daily basis and frequent visits to different client’s offices.The role involves intense travelling required to meet existing and potential prospective clients, opening new business and partnership negotiations on top of exhibitions and travel industry meetings.
