APS emphasizes reliability and trust, encouraging clients to “be SURE with APS.”Role Description The Director of Security is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Phoenix Area, responsible for overseeing all security operations and initiatives. This role includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, managing security staff, and coordinating physical and electronic security measures across client sites. The Director will conduct risk assessments, analyze incident reports, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with clients to design tailored security programs, monitoring security systems and patrol activities, and leading incident response and investigation efforts. The Director of Security will also provide training, performance feedback, and leadership to security teams, while working closely with senior management to support strategic security planning and continuous improvement.Compensation - ”$90,000–$110,000 base salary + uncapped performance incentives.”Qualifications Strong expertise in Physical Security and Security Management, including oversight of guard operations, patrol programs, and access control.Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Information Security to safeguard digital assets, sensitive data, and organizational systems.Knowledge of Network Security principles and practices to protect network infrastructure and support integrated security technologies.Experience leading security teams, with demonstrated skills in staff supervision, performance management, and training.Ability to conduct risk assessments, develop security policies, and manage incident response and investigations.Excellent communication, partnership-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface with clients and internal leaders.Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security operations and compliance.Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, information security, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) are beneficial.Proven experience in a senior security leadership role, preferably within a security services or protective services environment.
