Director of Solution Architecture & Innovation Location:Vienna, VAClearance: US Citizenship Required, Secret Clearance preferred.TekStream is working with a client to identify Director of Solution Architecture & Innovation to lead the design, development, and commercialization of the next generation of technology-enabled business services supporting the U.S. Federal Government. This individual will serve as the technical visionary responsible for identifying emerging technologies, designing innovative service offerings, and translating customer mission challenges into scalable, differentiated solutions. Working closely with Growth, Operations, Delivery, and executive leadership, the Director of Solution Architecture & Innovation will help position our client as a trusted partner for agencies seeking to modernize administrative and mission-support functions through Agentic AI, automation, advanced analytics, and digital transformation.This role combines technology leadership, solution architecture, customer engagement, business development, proposal leadership, and delivery enablement.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Strategy & Innovation Define and execute the technology roadmap for business services modernization.Develop differentiated service offerings that combine consulting, technology, AI, and operational excellence.Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and determine practical applications across Federal agencies.Identify opportunities to transform traditional administrative services into technology enabled solutions. AI & Intelligent AutomationLead the design and implementation of AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, workflow automation, intelligent document processing, advanced analytics, digital assistants, and knowledge management solutions.Translate technology into measurable customer outcomes.Customer Engagement Partner with senior government executives to understand mission challenges and develop modernization roadmaps.Serve as a trusted technology advisor. Solution Development & Proposal LeadershipDevelop innovative solution architectures aligned with customer mission objectives.Lead technical proposal development from opportunity shaping through submission.Author technical volumes, staffing approaches, technical narratives, and management approaches.Develop graphics, demonstrations, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions.Support customer meetings, oral presentations, and technical demonstrations.Create reusable proposal assets and ensure technical quality.Technology Partnerships Lead technology partnership strategy and evaluate emerging technologies that strengthen the company’s solution portfolio.Advise client on better optimization of existing technologies within their approved portfolio. Internal LeadershipCollaborate across Operations, Delivery, Growth, Capture, Proposal, and Executive Leadership.Mentor technical staff and establish repeatable solution development processes.Qualifications Required8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives supporting the U.S. Federal Government.Experience designing enterprise technology solutions supporting civilian or defense agencies.Strong understanding of AI, intelligent automation, cloud technologies, data analytics, and emerging digital capabilities.Experience developing innovative technical solutions for complex government mission challenges.Proven experience leading technical proposal development, including solution architecture, technical volumes, graphics, demonstrations, staffing approaches, and oral presentations.Experience collaborating with Growth, Capture, Proposal, and Delivery teams.Strong executive communication and presentation skills.U.S. Citizenship. Required. Secret Clearance PreferredExperience supporting civilian and/or defense agencies.Knowledge of Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking, Agile Delivery, Federal Acquisition, and Enterprise Architecture.
