The organization values continuous improvement, food safety, and strong partnerships with customers and suppliers.Role Description The Director of Sourcing is a full-time, on-site role based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for ingredients, packaging, and services to support FiveStar’s Simply Fresh brands and broader operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying suppliers, leading contract negotiations, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring reliable, cost-effective supply aligned with quality and food safety standards. The Director of Sourcing partners closely with procurement, supply chain, operations, finance, and R&D to support product launches, optimize total cost of ownership, and mitigate risk. This role also oversees continuous improvement projects in sourcing processes, analyzes market trends, and implements best practices to drive efficiency and sustainability across the supply base.Qualifications Strong sourcing and procurement skills, including experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.Demonstrated ability in Contract Negotiation and Supplier Evaluation, including building and maintaining strategic supplier partnerships.Project Management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives, implement sourcing strategies, and deliver on time and within budget.Knowledge of food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods industry, including quality, food safety, and regulatory considerations, is highly beneficial.Excellent analytical, data-driven decision-making, and cost optimization skills, with proficiency in relevant sourcing and ERP tools.Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, with experience managing or mentoring sourcing or procurement teams.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
