Director of Technology | FinTech SaaSRemote (1 day onsite per quarter)Salary Range | £80,000 - £100,000 Harrington Starr has partnered with an award-winning fintech company seeking a Director of Technology to lead and scale its technology function.This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth SaaS business at a pivotal stage of its journey. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping technology strategy, driving platform scalability, and building high-performing engineering teams while helping define the future direction of the business.What you'll be doing:• Leading software engineering, data engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps functions• Defining and executing the technology strategy in line with business objectives• Driving the delivery of a secure, scalable, and resilient SaaS platform• Partnering with product and business leaders to prioritise technical delivery and platform evolution• Overseeing engineering standards, release management, platform reliability, and operational excellence• Supporting architecture decisions to ensure long-term scalability and performance• Building, mentoring, and developing high-performing technology teams• Managing technical risk, security, governance, and operational resilience• Contributing to company strategy, budgeting, resource planning, and organisational growth• Identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovationWhat we're looking for:• Proven experience leading technology teams within SaaS, fintech, payments, or other high-growth technology environments• A strong track record of delivering scalable platforms and reliable production systems• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, infrastructure, data, and DevOps• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, engineering governance, deployment pipelines, and modern software delivery practices• Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills• The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership• Strong commercial awareness and experience aligning technology outcomes with business goals• A practical, delivery-focused mindset with a passion for building high-performing teamsTechnical environment:• Microsoft technology stack including C# and .NET• Azure cloud services and modern cloud-native architecture• Containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes• Modern front-end technologies including React and Angular• Data and analytics platforms including Snowflake and Looker• DevOps and collaboration tooling across the software development lifecycleWhat you will gain:• A genuine opportunity to shape the technology vision of a growing fintech business• Executive-level influence and direct exposure to business strategy and decision-making• The chance to lead and develop talented multidisciplinary teams• A flexible, remote-friendly working environment• The opportunity to work on innovative products solving complex challenges within the payments and financial technology sectorIf you're a technology leader who enjoys building teams, scaling platforms, and driving innovation within a fast-growing business, I'd be keen to speak with you.
