About the CompanyOur client is a global travel and tourism organisation with an established presence across Asia and international markets. The organisation continues to expand its regional operations and digital capabilities and are looking for a Director of Technology to strengthen its technology leadership to support growth, operational efficiency, and innovation.This is an opportunity to take ownership of the Hub's overall technical ecosystem, working across technology infrastructure, travel systems, digital products, AI, and technology-enabled business transformation. The role will operate at both a strategic and operational level, partnering closely with Group Technology leadership and local business stakeholders to ensure technology provides a competitive advantage for the organisation's continued expansion in the region.About the RoleYou will lead the technology strategy across travel technology systems, IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, digital products, AI and technology-enabled business transformation.Working closely with Group Technology leadership and local business stakeholders, you will develop and implement the technology roadmap, ensuring the Hub has a secure, scalable and integrated technology environment that supports the organisation's wider strategic objectives.This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, combining technology strategy, transformation, infrastructure oversight, governance, stakeholder management, vendor management and budget responsibility.What You Will DoDevelop and implement a technology and systems roadmap for the Region Hub.Take overall accountability for the performance and integration of travel technology platforms, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital products.Lead technology transformation initiatives across AI, automation and digital solutions to improve efficiency and customer experience.Partner with Group Technology to align local initiatives with global architecture, security, compliance and technology standards.Modernise legacy systems and reduce reliance on manual processes and offline tools.Build a more unified and secure technology ecosystem across the Hub.Oversee technology budgets, licensing, vendors and external technology partners.Provide senior leadership and oversight to the local IT team and Project Manager.Support the adoption of AI-driven solutions and data-led personalisation across the business.Who We Are Looking For8+ years experience in technology, IT leadership, digital transformation or a related field.Proven experience developing and delivering technology strategy within a complex international organisation.Strong experience across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems and digital technology.Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, licensing and external service providers.A strong understanding of technology governance, information security, cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.Experience working with senior stakeholders and global/regional technology teams.Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.Professional-level Japanese and business-level English.Experience in travel, tourism or hospitality, or enterprise tech, AI transformation, automation or data-driven personalisation, would be advantageous.Why You Should ApplyOwn the technology strategy for a major regional Hub.Play a central role in the organisation's AI and digital transformation agenda.Shape the integration of travel technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital products.Work directly with senior Group Technology leadership and regional business stakeholders.Lead the modernisation of legacy technology and help create a more scalable, integrated environment.
