The business has applications impacting space exploration, climate and green energy, advanced computing, robotics, defense and global food supply chain.They are currently in stealth mode and incubated by a major VC player with a track record in the last 3 years of launching some of the fastest growing and transformative AI businesses in their respective fields. The team is littered with Founders and early joiners of some of the top AI labs and HardTech companies in the world - This is much more than an opportunity to join an AI business but a chance to be at the forefront of multiple technological leaps which can change the shape of human history!The Role: The client is scaling its Accounting, Treasury, & Tax function to support rapid company growth. We are looking for a Director of Treasury to finalize implementation of the company's Treasury and Investment Policy and own it going forward, while managing day-to-day cash management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.

Responsibilities

Finalize implementation of the company's Treasury and Investment PolicyOwn the Treasury and Investment Policy going forward, maintain, update, and ensure ongoing compliance as the company and markets evolveManage the investment portfolio in accordance with the policy, including allocation decisions, counterparty and instrument selection, and performance reportingManage daily cash positioning, bank transfers, and wire approvals across all company accountsOwn bank account administration, signer management, and banking relationshipsMonitor compliance with debt covenants, credit facility terms, and lender reporting requirementsDevelop treasury policies, controls, and approval workflows to support company growthPartner with Accounting and FP&A on cash and investment reporting, board materials, and investor requestsEvaluate and help implement treasury management systems and tools as needs scaleSupport financing activities, including debt raises and banking RFPs, as neededManage foreign currency exposure and international banking needs, if applicable

Requirements

5+ years of treasury or corporate finance experience; prior in-house treasury experience preferredExperience implementing or administering a corporate treasury and investment policyHands-on experience with cash management platforms and banking portalsStrong Excel and financial modeling skillsExperience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems a plusHigh attention to detail, strong controls mindset, and comfort operating in a fast-growing environmentNice to Have:CPABig 4 accounting experience.Ability to connect with strategic finance teamExperience in a manufacturing or CAPEX-intensive business.Background in Deep Tech sectors such as Green Energy, Space Tech, Defense Tech, or Biotech.CTP certification a plus

Location: San Francisco, CACompensation: $200-$250k + Bonus + Equity
