Position: Director Perioperative Services Location: Mission Viejo, California (Onsite)Job Type: Permanent/Direct HireRelocation Assistance: Yes – Will be provided for this positionSkills and Certifications:Master’s Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in relevant field of management, policy, or administrationRequired upon hire: California Registered Nurse License (Vendor Managed)3 years of leadership (manager or above) experienceAt least 10 years of nursing experience.An active CA RN license.Comfortable and able to scrub and circulate.Experience & Expertise:10 or more years of nursing experience, with 3 years in nursing administrationThe Role: Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director, Perioperative Services provides multidisciplinary leadership and administrative authority for perioperative patient care units and departments on a 24-hour basis.This role assumes service line accountability for the management, development, and performance of perioperative programs, including operating room services and related departments. The Director is responsible for clinical quality, operational outcomes, and alignment with organizational priorities.In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director may assume authority for directing nursing department activities.This role provides leadership within the professional practice environment and across perioperative services, advocating for patient safety, quality outcomes, and adherence to the ANA Nursing Administration Scope and Standards of Practice.

What You'll Do

Resource UtilizationBlends business competencies and skills with the core ideology of nursing, integrating the nursing process into business decisions. Assumes service line accountability and responsibility for the management and development of business plans and programs within the service line and for the operations and results in each designated patient care unit or department.Optimizes fiscal resource allocation to support current and potential objectives and initiatives.Leads in promoting the appropriate use of innovative applications and new technologies, including consideration of the impact on global environmental health and sustainability.Promotes activities that assist others, as appropriate, in becoming informed about costs, risks and benefits of plans and solutions.
