The hospital continues to invest in operational excellence and its people to ensure long-term sustainability, quality, and access for its community.The PositionDirector, Perioperative ServicesReporting to Tamre Del Valle, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, the Clinical Director ofPerioperative Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for Valley PresbyterianHospital's perioperative and surgical services. This leader will oversee the Operating Room, Pre-Op/Same Day Surgery, PACU, GI/Endoscopy, Central Sterile Processing, with responsibility forapproximately 150 FTEs and three managers.This is a high-impact opportunity to lead and reshape a critical clinical service line at anindependent community hospital. The Director will partner closely with the CNO, surgeons,anesthesia, medical staff, and hospital leadership to improve OR efficiency, strengthen quality and safety, enhance physician and staff engagement, and build a sustainable culture ofaccountability and evidence-based practice. The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader who is willing to be in the OR suite, learn current workflows, identify improvementopportunities, and guide the department through meaningful operational and cultural change.Experience/QualificationsMinimum five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute-care hospital, including meaningful perioperative/OR experience.At least three to five years of progressive leadership experience, including manager and/or director-level responsibility in perioperative services.Prior OR nursing experience required; circulating experience or similar hands-on perioperative background strongly preferred.Current, unrestricted California RN license required.Bachelor's degree required; BSN preferred. Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required.Current BLS certification and LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire required. CNOR and/or NE-BC/NEA-BC preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead operational improvement, influence physicians, build teams, and drive quality, safety, and engagement outcomes.CompensationFor the selected candidate, a complete and competitive compensation package will be offered which includes salary target of $225k+/- dependent upon experience, with incentive comp up to 15% of base, deferred compensation, a full suite of benefits, and relocation assistance.
