The Director will work closely with Engineering, Professional Services, Integration Center Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations.The successful candidate must be able to step into an established PMO, quickly build trust with team members and stakeholders, maintain continuity across active projects, and identify practical opportunities to improve delivery performance, operational consistency, and customer satisfaction.About SycompSycomp is a global IT services and logistics provider with extensive expertise in cloud, data center, endpoint management and security solutions. 500 customers and global partners realize a world without boundaries.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal PMO LeadershipLead and develop a global team of Project Managers and Program Managers.Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across the PMO.Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development for PMO team members.Promote a collaborative culture focused on teamwork, ownership, transparency, and customer success.Build strong working relationships with business leaders and delivery teams across regions.Maintain continuity across active customer engagements and internal programs.Project and Program DeliveryOversee a global portfolio of customer implementations, professional services engagements, infrastructure deployments, Integration Center projects, and strategic internal initiatives.Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.Review project plans, milestones, dependencies, assumptions, and acceptance criteria.Maintain visibility into the health and performance of the overall project portfolio.Provide leadership and support for high-priority, complex, or at-risk projects.Ensure effective project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, transition, and closure.Promote disciplined change control and scope management throughout the project lifecycle.Governance and Operational ExcellenceMaintain and improve PMO governance standards, project delivery methodologies, templates, tools, and reporting processes.Standardize project management practices across regions while allowing appropriate flexibility for customer and geographic requirements.Establish clear project review, escalation, and decision-making processes.Lead recurring portfolio reviews with Engineering, Professional Services, Operations, Finance, Sales, and executive leadership.Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and accessible to appropriate stakeholders.Conduct lessons-learned reviews and convert findings into practical process improvements.Improve PMO maturity without creating unnecessary administrative overhead.Resource and Capacity ManagementPartner with Engineering, Professional Services, Integration Center Operations, and regional leaders to align project demand with available capacity.Maintain visibility into project assignments, resource constraints, utilization, and upcoming staffing requirements.Identify resource conflicts and work with functional leaders to resolve competing priorities.Support workforce planning by providing project demand forecasts and anticipated skill requirements.Coordinate the use of employees, contractors, partners, and other delivery resources as appropriate.Ensure projects are staffed with the appropriate skills, experience, and geographic coverage.Financial ManagementOversee project budgets, labor forecasts, travel costs, change requests, revenue milestones, and financial performance.Monitor project profitability and identify potential margin risks early in the delivery lifecycle.Partner with Finance and delivery leaders to improve forecasting accuracy.Ensure project managers understand and manage the financial aspects of their engagements.Review actual project performance against budgets, estimates, and contractual commitments.Support corrective actions for projects that are trending over budget or below expected margin.Ensure work outside the approved scope is properly documented, approved, and commercially addressed.Risk, Issue, and Escalation ManagementEstablish consistent processes for identifying, documenting, tracking, and mitigating project risks and issues.Ensure risks are escalated early and communicated clearly to the appropriate stakeholders.Serve as the executive escalation point for critical delivery issues.Lead recovery planning for projects that are delayed, over budget, or at risk of missing customer commitments.Track cross-project dependencies and address issues that may affect multiple customers, regions, or business functions.Provide leadership with clear recommendations, decisions required, and recovery actions.Customer and Stakeholder ManagementServe as an executive delivery contact for strategic customer engagements when needed.Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and internal business leaders.Ensure project communications are timely, accurate, and appropriate for the audience.Support customer steering committees, governance meetings, and executive project reviews.Work closely with Sales and Solution teams to ensure a structured transition from opportunity development to delivery.Help resolve customer concerns while protecting project scope, financial performance, and contractual commitments.Monitor customer satisfaction and incorporate feedback into PMO improvement initiatives.Sales-to-Delivery TransitionPartner with Sales, Solution Architecture, Engineering, and Professional Services during the handoff from solution development to project execution.Review statements of work, assumptions, timelines, resource plans, dependencies, and acceptance criteria before project initiation.Identify delivery risks, resource gaps, and unclear responsibilities before commitments are finalized.Ensure project managers receive the information required to successfully initiate and manage engagements.Provide project delivery input for complex or strategic proposals when appropriate.Executive ReportingProvide concise and accurate reporting on portfolio health, project status, risks, financial performance, capacity, and customer escalations.Develop meaningful PMO metrics and dashboards that support informed decision-making.Clearly identify projects requiring executive attention, decisions, or additional resources.Present portfolio updates and recommendations to senior leadership.Ensure reporting focuses on business outcomes and actionable information rather than administrative activity.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.10 or more years of project or program management experience.At least five years of experience leading a PMO or managing a team of Project Managers and Program Managers.Demonstrated success delivering complex technology, infrastructure, or professional services engagements.Experience managing a portfolio of customer-facing and internal projects across multiple regions.Strong understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue, cost, utilization, and profitability.Experience managing project risks, customer escalations, scope changes, and recovery plans.Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Professional Services.Experience working with geographically distributed teams and customers.Proficiency with commonly used project management, collaboration, and reporting tools.Preferred QualificationsProject Management Professional certification.Program Management Professional, Agile, Scrum, or similar certification.Experience in technology infrastructure, cloud, data center, networking, cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, managed services, or systems integration.Experience leading a global PMO within a technology services organization.Familiarity with fixed-fee, time-and-materials, and milestone-based professional services engagements.Experience supporting global deployments involving logistics, supply chain, Integration Centers, and field resources.Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira,
