About UsSublimation Health is a healthcare cloud modernization and managed services firm. We help hospitals and health systems move off legacy infrastructure and onto the cloud, and we manage those environments once they're live. The PositionWe're hiring our first Director of the PMO. Our project managers currently operate independently with no shared standard, and it shows up as quality gaps across engagements. This person will build the PMO function from the ground up, standards, governance, reporting, and escalation, and will directly manage our project managers day to day. This is a highly visible, individual leadership seat with direct executive exposure, not a role that inherits an existing team or process. What You'll Be Responsible ForBuilding the PMO's standards, templates, and governance from scratch, and making sure every client engagement runs against them.Directly managing and developing our project managers, including performance, coaching, and career growth.Owning portfolio visibility across all active client engagements and reporting that status to executive leadership.Catching project risk early enough to fix it quietly, rather than discovering it late, using real data and performance metrics to back it up, not gut feel.Owning delivery health on our most important client relationships, working alongside account, technical, and clinical stakeholders to protect scope, timeline, and budget.Building direct relationships with client executive teams, so you're the trusted voice they turn to when something needs to be resolved, not a name they only hear about when a project is already in trouble. What You Need to Have Done Before10 or more years leading healthcare IT delivery, across more than just EHR work, infrastructure, cloud, third party applications, integrations, data and security programs.Built or significantly matured a PMO function yourself, not just worked inside one someone else built.Directly managed and developed project managers across multiple concurrent client engagements, ideally in a consulting or professional services environment.Delivered or overseen Epic implementations or migrations. Epic experience is required, but this is not an Epic specialist role, it's a delivery leadership role.Worked inside project based, fixed fee delivery, and understand how scope and margin actually get protected.Comfortable using data to track performance and assess risk at the portfolio level, not just report status after the fact.Comfortable presenting portfolio status directly to executives, clearly and without padding.Nice to HaveAWS or Azure cloud migration experience.PMP or equivalent.Experience at a smaller, high growth firm competing against larger consultancies. What We're Looking For in How You WorkSomeone who builds structure without drowning the team in process. Someone who catches problems early instead of managing them after they're already on fire. Someone who can hold people to a real standard while still being the person they want to work for.
