About the RoleChitkara Business School, Chitkara University (Punjab), invites applications from senior academic leaders and accomplished industry experts who are actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership.We are seeking visionary leaders to drive transformation and excellence across our academic programs in the following domains:Retail ManagementFinancial Technology (FinTech)CommerceThis opportunity is ideal for professionals who bring a strong blend of industry expertise, academic engagement, strategic thinking, and leadership capability.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding strategic and academic leadership for the respective domain, ensuring excellence in program delivery and student outcomesDriving curriculum innovation aligned with industry requirements, emerging technologies, and future-ready skillsMentoring, developing, and leading high-performing faculty teams while fostering interdisciplinary collaborationEstablishing strong linkages with industry leaders, policymakers, professional bodies, and global institutions for internships, live projects, research, and collaborative initiativesLeading program expansion through new specializations, academic innovations, industry partnerships, and institutional growth initiativesRepresenting the School at academic, industry, and policy forums as a thought leader in the respective domainRequired Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 15–20 years of overall professional experience across academia, industry, and/or academic leadership and administration preferably including 7–10 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in roles involving business leadership, consulting, transformation, or industry-academia engagement.Strong domain expertise in Retail Management, FinTech, Commerce, or related business disciplines.Proven ability to lead change, build high-performing teams, inspire innovation, and shape a future-focused academic ecosystem.Demonstrated strength in industry engagement, corporate partnerships, employability initiatives, and academic transformation will be a strong advantage.Exposure to institutional growth, academic strategy, programme development, and stakeholder management will be preferred.Experience in curriculum design, contemporary pedagogy, accreditation, quality assurance, and ranking frameworks will be an added advantage, though not mandatory.Ability to bridge academia and industry, translating emerging business practices and technologies into meaningful student learning and institutional outcomes.
