We are supporting an international aviation business in the appointment of a Director of Strategic Procurement to join its asset management function.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aviation procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management and supply chain initiatives supporting a broad range of technical and operational programmes.The OpportunityPlay a key role in developing procurement strategy across an international aviation platform.Work closely with technical, commercial and operational stakeholders on business-critical projects.Gain broad exposure across strategic sourcing, supplier management and supply chain activities.Competitive package with strong long-term career prospects.ResponsibilitiesLead sourcing and procurement activities across a range of aviation-related products and services.Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, including commercial negotiations and performance reviews.Support technical and operational teams with procurement requirements across ongoing projects and transactions.Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective delivery of key products and services.Lead supply chain initiatives focused on improving availability, cost performance and service delivery.Identify opportunities to strengthen procurement processes, supplier performance and commercial outcomes.RequirementsStrong procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience within aviation, aerospace, an airline, MRO or a related technical environment.Good understanding of aviation technical requirements and supplier markets.Proven experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience using procurement, ERP or supply chain systems within a technical environment.Following your application for this role, GKR may contact you regarding other positions we feel may be suitable.
