Distributed Control System Engineer

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of relevant field service experience, strong technical knowledge of industrial control systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients in the energy, oil & gas, and power generation sectors.Key Responsibilities:Install, commission, and support control systems platforms on turbines, engines, and generators.Provide SCADA integration and troubleshooting support across control systems and networks.Perform system upgrades, loop checks, I/O verifications, and functional testing at customer sites.Analyze control issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions promptly.Maintain accurate records of site activities, service reports, and technical documentation.Interface with customers to provide technical training, guidance, and ongoing support.Ensure compliance with site safety policies and Woodward quality standards.Travel across the Kingdom and the GCC region as required (up to 50%).Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.5–10 years of hands-on experience in control systems commissioning, maintenance, and field service.Proven experience working with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, CAN, ProfiNet).Familiarity with turbomachinary control products or similar control systems (GE, Siemens, ABB).Strong understanding of generator control, turbine control, and synchronization systems.Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
