The company is focused on operational excellence, efficiency, scalability, and long-term sustainable growth.About the RoleConstrua is seeking an experienced and highly operational Distribution Manager to lead and optimize the company’s national distribution and warehousing operations.The Distribution Manager will oversee all company distribution centres, specifically:Maputo DCDondo DCNacala DCThe successful candidate will take full responsibility for the operational flow of stock from the point of receiving into the distribution centres through storage, transfers, picking, dispatch, transportation, and final delivery to stores, sites, factories, or other destinations.This role requires a strong operational leader capable of improving warehouse structure, inventory flow, fulfilment rates, logistics coordination, and overall distribution efficiency across the organization.The role also requires strong project execution capabilities, particularly relating to warehouse restructuring, warehouse design, operational optimization, budgeting, and recommending appropriate warehouse equipment and infrastructure improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the company’s distribution, warehousing, and logistics strategyOversee and manage all distribution centre operations from receiving through to final deliveryEnsure warehouses operate according to high operational and organizational standardsImprove warehouse layout, stock flow, storage utilization, and operational efficiencyEnsure outbound orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on timeImprove fulfilment rates and operational service levelsManage inter-branch and inter-DC transfer operationsSupervise and manage the Transfers Team responsible for supplying stores and recipients based on operational demandReduce aging and stagnant stock through redistribution initiatives, campaigns, and operational stock movement programsAssist in planning and restructuring warehouse operations and layoutsLead warehouse-related projects including:Warehouse restructuringWarehouse designEquipment planningOperational budgetingProcess optimizationCoordinate closely with the fleet department to improve transport efficiency and delivery performanceImplement KPIs, SOPs, operational controls, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with company standards, operational procedures, and relevant regulationsIdentify operational risks and implement mitigation strategiesLead, mentor, and develop warehouse, logistics, and distribution teamsCollaborate closely with finance, retail, manufacturing, procurement, fleet, and operations departmentsRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or Operations Management or a related fieldMBA or postgraduate qualification is advantageousMinimum 5 years’ experience in:DistributionWarehousingLogisticsSupply chainOperational managementProven leadership experience managing large operational teamsExperience managing multiple warehouses or distribution centres is highly advantageousStrong understanding of:Warehouse operationsInventory flowLogistics coordinationOperational planningDistribution systemsExperience in warehouse restructuring or operational improvement projects is advantageousExperience with ERP and warehouse management systemsStrong Excel and analytical skillsExperience in import/export processes is advantageousFluency in English and PortugueseKey CompetenciesStrong operational leadershipHigh level of accountability and ownershipSystems and process-oriented thinkingStrong organizational and planning capabilityResults-driven mindsetStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to manage high-pressure operational environmentsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to drive operational discipline and executionHow to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to apply via LinkedIn.
