District Cooling Engineer

The District Cooling Engineer is in charge of assisting in the further development, maintenance, and updating of regulations, codes of operations, and standards for district cooling activities in the energy sector.Furthermore, the District Cooling Engineer is responsible for thoroughly understanding all technical design and operational aspects related to the operation of DC plants to support the regulatory framework, as well as conducting technical assessments and site visits to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework.Key Responsibilities:Monitor the performance and development of the district cooling transmission and distribution codes.Represent the DoE at appropriate forums, as and when required.Provide technical advice and recommendation on a wide range of district cooling related matters.Review all district cooling aspects of the sector planning statement of production, transmission, and distribution companies.Monitor key performance indicators and management reporting structure for district cooling production, transmission, and distribution.Conduct audits and site assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and technical standardsParticipate in discussions with the Department of Health, Safety, and Environment at the Department of Energy about health, safety, and environmental issues relating to the license.Assist with the review of the annual performance report for district cooling production companies, including recommendations for optimizing the network performance of the company.Assist in the review of all relevant documents, which may include technical reports, regulations, codes, performance metrics, and investigation reports.Conduct research to support technical advice and recommendation on district cooling related matters as and when required.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Engineering, etc.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of operational and design experience in district cooling plants/sector
