Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition SummaryA manufacturer of exterior architectural building materials is seeking an experienced and motivated District Sales Manager to develop and grow sales throughout the Southeast region.This position is ideal for a sales professional with proven B2B experience in building materials, siding, cladding, façade systems, or related architectural products who is ready to take the next step in their career and assume greater responsibility for territory growth and market development.The District Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business, building relationships with architects, contractors, developers, distributors, and other industry partners, managing the sales pipeline, and driving projects from initial opportunity through specification, bidding, and order conversion.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sales strategies for the assigned territoryIdentify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generationBuild and maintain a strong project and sales pipelineDevelop relationships with architects, contractors, developers, distributors, installers, and other industry partnersConduct product presentations, customer meetings, and jobsite visitsManage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial lead through quotation, bidding, and order conversionSupport and develop independent sales representatives and distribution partnersMonitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activityMaintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reportsRepresent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functionsCollaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and OperationsQualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field5+ years of B2B sales experience in building materials, siding, façade systems, cladding, or architectural productsExperience working with architects, contractors, developers, and/or distributorsProven ability to develop new business and manage a sales pipelineStrong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable managing an assigned territory independentlyProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systemsValid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to travel regularly throughout the assigned territoryPreferred:Knowledge of fiber cement products, rainscreen systems, or exterior envelope solutionsExperience getting building products specified for commercial construction projectsExisting network within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industryBilingual English/Japanese or English/Spanish skills are a plusTerritory:Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and FloridaTravel:Approximately 50%
